Craig Mazin, coguionista no por casualidad de "¿Qué Pasó Ayer? Parte 2' junto a Scot Armstrong (colaborador habitual de Todd Phillips), será el responsable de escribir la primera versión del libreto (según apuntan desde The Wrap) de lo que será la inevitable '¿Qué Pasó Ayer? Parte 3', tercera entrega de la franquicia protagonizada por Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms y Zach Galifianakis a las órdenes de Todd Phillips, todos ellos presumiblemente de vuelta en una nueva entrega que llegará a los cines en 2013, y que se rumorea podría situar su acción en la ciudad europea de Amsterdam, algo que no obstante habrá que coger con pinzas dada la poca información que ha trascendido (y que trascenderá) de la futura producción a la espera del anuncio oficial de rigor por parte de la Warner Bros.
Entre los créditos de Mazin como guionista cabe mencionar a su vez 'Scary Movie 3' y 'Scary Movie 4', ambas dirigidas por David Zucker en 2003 y 2006 respectivamente.
